Latvia, Rundle Castle.

We crossed into Latvia from Lithuania, DH wanted a border photo.
Along the road ways were plenty of storks in their nests with babies, they migrate to Africa every year and return in spring to their same nests.

After we visited the Hill of crosses we drove to Rundle Castle, the pride and joy of Latvia. I must say, the castle was beautifully designed and well worth a visit. We visited Versailles a few years ago in France and Rundle Palace is very similar in designs, right down to the beautiful gardens.
In the rose garden alone there is 1,000's of roses from all over the world, they will be in full bloom in June, we were too early.
